Come, let us sing for joy to the LORD;
let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation.
Let us come before him with thanksgiving
and extol him with music and song.
Come, let us bow down in worship,
let us kneel before the LORD our Maker;
for he is our God
and we are the people of his pasture,
the flock under his care.
Each week, members of the music ministry at Haran gather to bring our praise and thanks to God. We have members of all ages and skill levels who come together for one purpose: to worship and glorify God for His love and grace. If you are interested in any part of this ministry, please see Anna Ruth Johnson for more information.
The Celebration Choir is open to any active church member who would like to take part. In addition to leading the music in the worship service most weeks, the choir presents special programs for Christmas and Easter. Rehearsals are Wednesdays, 7:30-9:00 pm.
The children’s choir meets for rehearsal on Wednesdays from 6:30-7:15 pm. This is an opportunity for kids to be introduced to good vocal and choral technique and ensemble skills, while learning and growing in their faith through song.
Handbells are a refreshing and uplifting addition to the worship service, and a great outlet for our praise to God. The handbell choir rehearses on Thursdays, 6:30-7:15 pm. If you are interested in bells, please see Anna Ruth.
Psalm 33:3 says, “Sing to him a new song; play skillfully, and shout for joy.” The praise band is an opportunity for the instrumentalists and soloists of our congregation to lead in worship. If you sing or play an instrument and are interested in taking part, please see Steve Smith or Anna Ruth.
