Anna Ruth is a native of the Roanoke area and first began serving as a church musician at the age of fourteen. She received her Bachelor of Music degree from Liberty University as a piano major in 2001.
Anna Ruth came to Haran in July of 2010. She directs the Celebration Choir, children’s choir, and handbell choir, plays with the praise band, and serves as accompanist. In addition to her church work, she teaches private piano lessons and is a member of the Mill Mountain Ringers, a community handbell choir.
Her desire as a musician is to unite the people of God in worship, praise, and thanksgiving as we fulfill our calling as children of light.
But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy (I Peter 2:9-10).
