THE BIBLE
The Bible is the inspired Word of God’s revelation of Himself and of His way and will for mankind. It is perfect, without flaw or errors.
Scripture is the supreme and final authority in faith and life. Scripture is necessary to believers for teaching, reproof, correction, and training in righteousness. Its message of redemption through Christ is the hope of mankind (2 Timothy 3:16-17; Proverbs 30:5-6; 2 Peter 1:19-21; Psalm 119:160).
GOD
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
God the Father: There is one and only one living and true God, an intelligent, spiritual and personal Being, the Creator, Preserver, and Ruler of the universe, infinite in holiness and all other perfections, to whom we owe the highest love, reverence, and obedience. He is revealed to us as Father, Son and Holy Spirit, each with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence or being (Genesis 1:1-2, Psalm 83:18, 1 Corinthians 8:6; Ephesians 4:4-6).
Jesus the Son: We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the second Person of the Trinity, and the only begotten Son of God. We believe in the deity of Christ, His virgin birth, sinless life, and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, and in His ascension to the right hand of the Father. Jesus is the ONLY means by which one can attain eternal life in heaven (John 14:6; Acts 4:12; Romans 10:9-10,13; Acts 1:9-11; 1 Corinthians 15:1-5).
The Holy Spirit: We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity, co-existing with the Father and the Son. He is the chief agent in the conviction of sin, in regeneration, and the comfort of the believer (John 16:7; 2 Corinthians 13:14; John 14:16-17; Romans 8:14-27).
SALVATION
Salvation from sin is mankind’s most urgent need. It is made possible for anyone because of God’s grace, because of Christ’s atonement for sin, and because of the Spirit’s convicting and regenerating power. It is the free gift of God to man. It cannot be earned or worked for, but received only by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ (John 14:6; Acts 4:12).
REPENTANCE AND FAITH
Repentance and faith are both experiences of God’s grace and love for us, and are essential responses to the gospel message. Repentance is a genuine turning from sin toward God. Faith is the acceptance of Jesus Christ and commitment of one’s entire person to Him as Lord and Savior. We are saved by grace through our faith in Jesus Christ alone (Ephesians 2:8;1 John 1:9; Matthew 4:17; Proverbs 28:13).
THE CHURCH
We believe the church is a universal body of those believing, confessing, and working together to serve the will of God and make disciples for the Kingdom of God. We believe in the local church that consists of baptized believers coming together to give praise and worship to our risen Savior. We believe that God has laid upon the members of the local church the primary task of giving the gospel of Jesus Christ to a lost world (Acts 1:8; Ephesians 2:19-22; Ephesians 5:19-21; 1 Corinthians 1:2, 7:17; Hebrews 10:25).
ORDINANCES
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ has committed two ordinances to the local church, baptism and the Lord’s Supper. Christian baptism of a new believer is immersion in water in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 2:41-42; Romans 6:4-8).
The Lord’s Table/Supper, as observed by the Church, is a New Testament church ordinance left to the Church and is therefore restricted to baptized believers. The remembrance of Christ is the use of bread and cup that commemorate the dying love of Christ (Matthew 26:26-30; 1 Corinthians 11:23-34).
We believe that God offers complete forgiveness and eternal life to everyone who truly confesses, repents, and acknowledges Jesus Christ as their Savior!
